§ Thanks, Joyce. Being a supporting actress is a dangerous gig, isn’t it?

§ Yes. But we’re in good company. The S3 has nominated one of my favorites for a Cutie Award: Emily Kuroda as Mrs Kim in Gilmore Girls. Remember when she found out her daughter was a drummer? Been there, done that - with Buffy.

§ Buffy was a drummer?

§ In a rock band. With Spike. How are those two doing, anyhow? Last I knew, he was interested in her, but I told her to nip him in the bud.

§ Uhm – uh – right. She – uh – she got right on that. But look at this Joyce!! Our next nominee is Amanda Seyfried as Lilly in Veronica Mars!

§ Such a pretty girl. And next is Tricia Helfer as Number Six in Battlestar Galactica. What kind of mom would name her daughter “Number Six?”

§ A mom named “Number Five,” maybe? Besides, not all moms can come up with a classically elegant name like “Buffy.” But talk about your tough mamas, our next nominee is Kelly Bishop, as Emily Gilmore on Gilmore Girls.

§ You know who needs a mom like Emily? That wild, rebellious Starbuck, on Battlestar Galactica, played by Katee Sackoff.

§ I’m not sure that would work out so well. But those are five great Supporting Actress nominees. I sure hope they all survive next season.

§ Me, too. And let’s see which one of them won the Cutie Award, for this season! The envelope, please . . .
